The former publisher clients of bankrupt AMS subsidiary Publishers Group West are finding new homes after the judge ruled two weeks ago that Perseus' offer for PGW assets would be accepted.  The Dark Horse distribution formerly handled by PGW will now be handled by Diamond Book Distributors.  That includes Dark Horse's DH Press and M Press titles, and the international distribution of Dark Horse graphic novels.  Diamond had previously handled U.S. book trade distribution for Dark Horse graphic novels.

Six new releases from DH Press and M Press were caught up in the transition; those titles will be re-solicited to the book trade by Diamond.  According to Dark Horse VP-Business Development Michael Martens, Dark Horse will derive some sales and marketing efficiencies from the consolidation of book channel distribution for all of its lines with Diamond.  For one, the book market schedules for all Dark Horse imprints will be aligned; Diamond and PGW had used different solicitation schedules.

Broccoli has signed with Perseus for book trade distribution, along with other publishers representing the bulk of PGW's volume.  Perseus has committed to maintain continuity of  personnel handling the former PGW clients.
