New Line has announced the August 14th release of the first DVD of the short-lived Blade TV series.  Blade: House of Cthon will include an extended cut (too graphic for TV) of the feature-length pilot for the Blade TV series.  The Blade TV show took off with a bang (see 'Blade Bites Off Big Share'), but faded fast, which might indicate that the pilot was a good deal better than the rest of the series.

The Blade: House of Cthon DVD contains lots of extras including a documentary ('Turning Blade') as well as commentaries by director Peter O'Fallon and writer/producers David Goyer and Geoff Johns.
