In a conference call with analysts this week, 4Kids Entertainment CEO Al Kahn revealed that the company plans to begin airing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's in the U.S. this fall.  This new Yu-Gi-Oh! series is premiering on Japanese television in April.  The property is being launched in TCG form in Japan this month.

The plot of the new series revolves around the quest to collect five all-powerful dragon cards.  The Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's name stands for Yu-Gi-Oh! Five Duel Scoop.

Kahn told analysts that he expects the new series to help keep the Yu-Gi-Oh! property fresh and provide new licensing opportunities.
