Today's Hollywood Reporter broke the story of the next film project for legendary comic creator Stan Lee.  Lee will produce his new project, entitled Forever Man, through his own POW! Films.  Lee told the Reporter that Forever Man would show superheroes in a 'different type of situation...dealing with crime and punishment in the not-too-distant future and a unique way of punishing people who are menaces to society -- it's a concept that hasn't been seen before, with tremendously interesting villains with unique powers.'

Lee, who created (or co-created) Marvel superheroes such as Spider-Man, X-Men, and Daredevil, all of whom have had successful cinematic debuts, has kept Marvel out of the Forever Man proceedings, at least up to now (he's suing Marvel in a dispute over royalty payments from the mega-blockbuster Spider-Man film, see 'Stan Lee Pulls The Trigger').  Writer Luke McMullen has been hired to write the screenplay for Forever Man.
