Adam West and David Duchovny will provide the vocal talent for the highly anticipated videogame, XIII, which is due out this fall from Ubi Soft Entertainment.  West provides the voice for the hard-nosed General Carrington, who is leading an inquiry into the assassination of the President of the U.S.  Duchovny will voice the amnesiac commando XIII, who washes up on a New England beach without clothes or memories, but still gifted with the instincts of a trained commando. The XIII videogame features a unique visual style utilizing cel-shaded graphics to showcase the game's comic roots.  Based on the popular graphic novel series written by Jean Van Hamme and published by Dargaud in France, Ubi Soft's XIII game uses various comic book elements, including pop-up windows and cartoon text to make the graphic novel world come to life.

In the late 1980s and early 90s Catalan Communications published several volumes of Van Hamme's Code XIII graphic novel series in English.  Perhaps if the videogame is a success another publisher will bring this Ludlumesque contemporary political thriller back to U.S. comic shops and bookstores.
