According to today's Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers has offered Sharon Stone the role of Laurel, the head of a cosmetics company which is actually the front for a large scale criminal operation, in the Catwoman film that is currently in development.  If Stone accepts, she will square off against Halle Berry (see 'Oscar Winner To Play Catwoman') in what should be a memorable confrontation.  The Reporter also indicates that Warners is hoping that Josh Lucas will take the role of Detective Lone, the policeman who is romantically linked to the fabulous feline. 

With shooting on the Catwoman film expected to begin in September (see 'Catwoman Movie Starts Shooting In September'), it appears that Warners is now deep in the casting process, and barring any unforeseen difficulties, Catwoman should make her eponymous screen debut in the summer of 2004.
