The Media Coalition has struck a temporary deal with the Arkansas Attorney General's office in its lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a new Arkansas display law (see 'CBDLF Joins In Arkansas Suit').  The Arkansas Attorney General is defending the law; the Media Coalition is joined by a number of groups supporting First Amendment rights, including the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Arkansas Attorney General's Office has agreed not to enforce the new display law until the judge decides on the merit of the case.  In return for this agreement not to enforce the controversial law, the Media Coalition lawyers have agreed to drop the governor and the attorney general, who have no enforcement power, from the case as defendants.
