According to the October issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly a new Thundercats animation project is underway. The 1980s-era animated felines will most likely get the CGI treatment in their new incarnation, which according to EGM may go directly to video. Like many popular 1980s animated series the Thundercats property has enjoyed a revival in popularity over the past year thanks to a comic book series published by the Wildstorm division of DC Comics. Currently Wildstorm is soliciting the Thundercats: Dogs Of War mini-series and DC is planning a Thundercats/Superman one-shot crossover (prestige format, $5.99) for a November release.
