Tokyopop is continuing to expand its presence in key chains this fall.  Alabama-based book chain Books-a-Million will have four-foot Tokyopop manga sections in all stores beginning October 1st.  Books-a-Million, the third largest book chain in the U.S., has stores in eighteen states, primarily in the southeastern U.S.

Mass merchant Target has agreed to stock Tokyopop Cine-manga titles for the holiday season.  Tokyopop's Cine-manga titles have been placing well on the BookScan Children's Juvenile Favorites chart, with four titles in the top fifty on the most recent chart.  Lizzie McGuire held the #12 and #13 slots, Spongebob Squarepants the #42 slot, and Kim Possible the #48 position.  Lizzie McGuire Volume 1 has sold over 34,000 copies to date in stores tracked by Bookscan.

And in a new channel for Tokyopop, W.H. Smith has agreed to test Tokyopop titles in its airport stores.
