Tokyopop has scheduled the release of the Heat Guy J manga, based on the anime that aired on MTV last year, for July (see 'Tokyopop Has Heat Guy J Manga').  The company also announced a number of other summer launches.

 

Beck:  Mongolian Chop Squad Vol. 1 is also scheduled for July.  The manga was quite successful in Japan, and it spawned an anime which began airing in Japan last year. 

 

Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode, a two-volume sequel to the completed seven-volume run of Tokyo Mew Mew, will launch in June.  4Kids, which has had rights to the anime for some time, will finally begin airing it on Saturday morning on Fox this fall.

 

Tokyopop announced three other launches for June and July.  Arcana, by So-Young Lee, who created Model, will launch in June.  Blazin' Barrels, a futuristic Wild West story by Min-Suh Park, will launch in June.  And Chrono Code, by Eui-Cheol Shin and Il-Ho Choi, will launch in July.
