Publishers Weekly is reporting that Perseus Books Group has acquired Client Distribution Services, which handles distribution of Tokyopop, Titan, and Burlyman Entertainment titles to the book trade, among many others.  Current president Gilbert Perlman will remain at the helm, according to the article.

This returns CDS to ownership by a publisher, which is where it was before being spun out by Random House in 1999.  Management and the private equity firm Olympus Partners owned the company between 1999 and the sale to Perseus.
