Warner Home Video has announced the October 18th release of two DVD editions of Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, 2005's most popular comic book-based movie so far.  Batman Begins, which has earned over $200 million at the domestic box office, will be available in a regular single-disk edition (MSRP $28.98), but fans and collectors will want the 2-disk Deluxe Edition (MSRP $30.97), which includes seven documentaries about the making of the film as well as a 72-page comic book containing the very first Batman story from Detective Comics #27 as well as 'Batman: The Man Who Falls' and 'Batman: The Long Halloween,' two stories that inspired the Batman Begins movie.

 

The documentaries in the Deluxe Edition include 'Genesis of the Bat,' which examines the various incarnations of the Caped Crusader from the mid-1980s to the present, along with features on the film's production design, the new Batsuit, the new Batmobile, the filming in Iceland, the monorail chase sequence and more. In addition to the documentaries the Deluxe Edition also includes an interactive electronic comic book, a photo gallery, theatrical trailers, and Easter eggs.
