Katsuhiro Otomo's Steamboy -- Director's Cut DVD debuted at number 23 on the VideoScan list of 'Top 50 DVD Sellers' for the week ending July 30th, 2005.  The Director's Cut of Otomo's latest film (the most expensive anime production in Japanese history -- see 'Steamboy DVD Out in July') was the top-selling anime DVD of the week with a 2005 chart ranking for anime releases bettered only by Miyazaki's Nausicaa, which reached #14 in March of this year.

Constantine, which is based on the DC/Vertigo Hellblazer comic book series, continued to do well (see 'Constantine Tops DVD Charts'), dropping into second place in its second week of release with the Deluxe Edition falling to #12.
