Central Park Media has announced that it is the first anime company in the world to provide content for Apple's new video-capable iPod.  CPM's iPod video programs are currently available only at the CPM Website, but the company expects to make its programming available at the Apple iTunes Website once negotiations are complete, though no schedule for launching on iTunes has been announced at this time.

But visitors to the CPM site can now download the first episode of CPM's upcoming Armored Trooper VOTOMS series as well as a trailer from the short horror film Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek, which is scheduled to premiere on a special pre-Halloween broadcast on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim at midnight (ET, PT) on Saturday October 29th.  CPM plans to make a number of its best-selling titles available for the iPod in the coming weeks including Descendants of Darkness, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and Shadow Star Narutaru.

Peter Tarara, CPM's fan community liaison executive, spelled out the company's strategy, 'It is a well-known fact that anime fans are the earliest adopters of new technology hardware and software.  We are sure that they will quickly become a major customer base for video iPods, so we want to ensure that they can enjoy their favorite CPM titles on this new device.'
