An ICv2 Release.  Pop culture publishing and consulting company ICv2 has announced that it will host the ICv2 Graphic Novel Conference at New York Comic-Con next February.  'The ICv2 Graphic Novel Conference:  Manga and Anime, Movie Superheroes and Anti-Heroes, and the New Literature' will be held on Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2006 at the Javits Center in New York City.

'Graphic novels are at the nexus of a revolution in pop culture,' said ICv2 CEO Milton Griepp about the Conference.  'It's the place where comics, movies, TV, and videogames intersect; where the Japanese influence is strongest; and where a new form of literature is taking shape.  At this Conference, we're going to bring together the people and companies from this exploding category to talk about ways to make this exciting growth continue.'

Confirmed panelists include graphic novel buyers from specialty retail chains and comic stores; top executives from anime and manga companies; graphic novel publishers; experts in the field, and more.  Among the many notable panelists and moderators are Liza Coppola, Vice President of Viz Media, LLC; Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment, Inc.; Pat Kearney, Graphic Novel Site Merchandiser for Amazon.com; Mike Kiley, Publisher and Editor in Chief of Tokyopop, Inc.; James Killen, Graphic Novel Buyer at Barnes & Noble; Calvin Reid of Publishers Weekly; and David Webster, Graphic Novel Buyer at Midtown Comics.

Publishers, creators, retailers, librarians, literary agents, and licensors and licensees will all find plenty at this Conference to inform and inspire their planning for the future.
