Dynamite Entertainment has reached an agreement with Classic Media giving the comic book publisher the right to publish a new ongoing comic featuring The Lone Ranger as well as to repackage and publish previous Lone Ranger comics material.  Created by George W. Trendle in 1933, The Lone Ranger was an enormous hit on radio, where it ran for nearly 3,000 episodes.  Dell published Lone Ranger comics from 1939 to 1962 and Topps Comics revived the character in a memorable mini-series written by Joe R. Lonsdale and illustrated by Tim Truman in 1994.

Dynamite is in negotiations with 'two big name creators,' and hopes to be able to announce their involvement shortly.
