Hirameki International has announced the acquisition of the rights to the visual novel game Yo-Jin-bo, which was released in Japan in 2005 by the music company Two Five.  The game is scheduled for release in the U.S. in the summer of 2006.  More details will be made available as the release date approaches.

Yo-jin-bo is set in feudal Japan where the Mochizuki clan is wracked by a war of succession, and the clan princess -- a tomboy notorious for her misbehavior -- is the first target for assassination.  The central storyline of Yo-jin-bo involves the princess's three eccentric bodyguards' attempts to save her from the sinister machinations of her would-be assassins.

In Japan the Yo-jin-bo game has inspired two drama CDs, two music CDs and a graphic novel adaptation.  The three bodyguards are voiced by some of Japan's top voice talent including Hiroki Takashi (Hunter x Hunter), Hideo Ishikawa (Bleach, Kingdom Hearts), and Masakuzu Morita (Gundam Seed Destiny).
