Pinnacle Entertainment has announced the July/August release of the Pirates of the Spanish Main RPG Core Rulebook ($39.99) and the Pirates of the Spanish Main Scenario Book ($19.99) -- the first in a series of roleplaying game products based on WizKids' properties (see 'WizKids Awards RPG Rights to Pinnacle').  The core Pirates of the Spanish Main RPG book is a lavishly illustrated full color 256-page hardcover containing everything a player needs to play the game. 

Based on WizKids' popular constructible strategy game, the Pinnacle RPG uses the Origin Award-winning Savage Worlds gameplay system to allow players to experience full-blooded pirate adventures in a whole new way.

Death on the High Seas: A Pirates of the Spanish Main Scenario Book is the first in a series of such volumes and it features new deployment instructions, alternate rules, and victory conditions.  A short fictional preface introduces each of the 40 scenarios in the 96-page full color trade paperback, and secret 'Special Events' mean that games are different every time.  Requirements include the WizKids' Pirates of the Spanish Main ships and rules.
