Reports from hobby distributors indicate that Bandai's Naruto CCG, which had a street date of April 28th in the hobby, has already sold out at most hobby distributors.  Initial orders came in far stronger than Bandai expected, which meant that the publisher was only able to fill about 50% of those orders.  However Bandai has shifted product originally intended for the mass-market to the hobby, and shipments of this re-purposed product should reach hobby distributors next week (see 'Bandai Responds to Naruto CCG Sell-Out').  Theme decks have not sold out and will ship with the second wave of boosters.

The mass-market Naruto product shipping to the hobby is virtually identical to hobby skus save for its blister-pack format (12 blisters per display).  The cards are marked 'First Edition' and have the same insert ratios as the hobby versions and they have the same per card cost to distributors as the hobby boosters.  Bandai will not release product to the mass-market retailers until June.
