The five-part Gonzo anime series Afro Samurai will debut on Spike TV on Thursday January 4th.  Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Beauty & the Beast) will voice the character of Justice, Afro Samurai's main antagonist and Kelly Hu (Lady Deathstrike in X2) will also lend her vocal talents to the cast headed by producer Samuel L. Jackson, who will voice the lead character.

Originally slated to debut this fall, Afro Samurai, which is based on a manga by Takashi Okazaki, is one of the most highly anticipated anime series set to debut in the U.S. in the next six months.  FUNimation Productions has acquired home video and merchandising rights for the property (see 'FUNimation Acquires Afro Samurai').
