According to License Magazine, reporting information supplied by the NPD Group, Star Wars remained the #1 toy license in the U.S. in the first half of 2006.  The rest of the top five were Dora the Explorer (#2), Thomas and Friends (#3), Yu-Gi-Oh! (#4), and Disney Princess (#5). 

 

Licensed toys accounted for roughly $2 billion in sales during the period, of $7.6 billion in total retail toy sales.
