Disney is acquiring the feature film rights to Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars, according to the Hollywood trades.  It's unclear whether Disney plans a live action or animated treatment. 

Film rights had previously been held by Paramount, which at one time seemed fairly far along (see 'John Carter Gets a Director').  But those rights expired, and Disney has now acquired them.
