Gary Reed of Caliber Comics saw the news of Will Eisner's death (see 'EXTRA: In Memoriam: Will Eisner') and shared his thoughts:

I met and corresponded with him a number of times. He was the true representation of everything good about the comics' medium and he carried the mantle well. Obviously he will be missed by his family and friends but his presences in the comics market will be a void impossible to fill.
