Hill and Wang is continuing to expand its graphic novel line with non-fiction titles, including three due for release this fall.  First up is The Vietnam War, by Dwight Jon Zimmerman and Wayne Vansant, which will be released September 15th at $19.95.    

Zimmerman has been a comic editor for Marvel, Topps, and Byron Preiss who has also written on military subjects.  Vansant did the art on over 50 issues of Marvel’s The ‘Nam.  The Vietnam War will be a 160-page b/w 6” x 9” trade paperback.

Later that month, on September 29th, Rick Geary’s biography of Russian revolutionary Trotsky (see “Rick Geary Working on Trotsky Biography”) will be released (112 pages, 5-1/2” x 8-1/4”, $16.95).  Geary recently received an Eisner nomination for Best Writer/Artist for his NBM title A Treasury of XXth Century Murder and the Hill and Wang title J. Edgar Hoover (see “Eisner Nominations Released”).

 

Up third is Hill and Wang’s Che biography, by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon.  This 128-page 6” x 9” color trade paperback will retail for $22 when it streets in October.  Che Guevara is enjoying a resurgence of sorts, with a movie and another graphic novel biography (see “Che:  A Graphic Biography”) recently released.
