At ICv2’s Conference on Comics and Digital at the New York Comic Con, ICv2 Founder and Publisher Milton Griepp presented ICv2’s estimate of the 2010 North American market for digital comics.  ICv2 estimates sales of digital comics for 2010 will range between $6 million and $8 million.  This is ICv2’s estimate of the retail total of just the “download to own” (DTO) market segment and does not include subscription revenues.  The estimate includes revenue from iTunes, PSP, Kindle, Android, and Web sales.

The 2010 total is more than 10 times ICv2’s estimate of digital comics sales for 2009, which totaled somewhere between $500,000 and $1 million.
