The first trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness has been released, and it provides a sense of foreboding for the story and anticipation for the movie.  Nine minutes from the film will be seen in 3D IMAX theaters with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (see "'Star Trek' Sequel IMAX 3D Preview").

Star Trek Into Darkness will premiere May 17, 2013.
