Tom Devlin, Creative Director and Acquisitions Editor for Drawn & Quarterly, has announced that the publisher will distribute cartoonist Sarah Glidden's next graphic novel, Rolling Blackouts, in Fall 2014.

Known for her previous shorter work "The Inconvenience" in 2009's Awesome 2: Awesomer from Top Shelf Productions and her 2010 original graphic novel How to Understand Israel in 60 Days or Less from Vertigo, Glidden returns to Middle Eastern themes for her latest project.  Centering on two childhood friends, Rolling Blackouts chronicles the lives of a journalist opposed to the Iraq War and a Marine who served during the combat.

Glidden won an Ignatz Award for How to Understand Israel when it was originally serialized in 2008. Additionally, her work in graphic journalism has been published in Cartoon Movement, Ha'aretz, Symbolia Magazine, and the Jewish Quarterly.  In 2012, Glidden was an artist in residence at the Maison des Auteurs in Angoulême, France, where she received the Maisie Kukoc Award for Comics Inspiration.

For US distribution, Rolling Blackouts will be available through Farrar, Straus & Giroux.
