Revenge star Emily VanCamp is reportedly about to take the leap from the small screen in a big way. VanCamp is currently negotiating with Marvel Studios to become the female lead in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which the Russo brothers are directing for an April 4th, 2014 release.

Deadline is reporting that VanCamp is Marvel Studios’ choice for the lead in the second standalone Captain America movie, which means that she will most likely portray Sharon Carter, alias Agent 13, the "younger" sister of Peggy Carter who was played by Hayley Atwell in Captain America: The First Avenger, which was set during World War II.

VanCamp will join a cast that will include Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill along with stars from the first Captain America movie and The Avengers (Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson) who will reprise their roles in The Winter Soldier, which is slated to start shooting in March (see "Cobie Smulders in Talks for 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV Series").
