A young Han Solo and Boba Fett will be the featured characters in two planned stand-alone Star Wars films, Entertainment Weekly reported Wednesday.  The story was based on anonymous sources, and it joins an anonymous-source story by Ain’t It Cool News from yesterday that reported that Yoda would be the featured character in a stand-alone film (see "Stand-alone 'Star Wars' Films"), and an anonymous-source story from Vulture a couple of weeks ago that said that Zack Snyder (who denied it) would be directing a stand-alone film based on Seven Samurai (see "Snyder Denies, Vulture Affirms").

That makes four stand-alone Star Wars films, if all of those stories were true, and we only know of two for sure, which Disney CEO Bob Iger formally announced this week (without mentioning the featured characters).

EW’s has more details than the other stories, however, including the time frames in which they would take place.  The young Han Solo film will be set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and the Boba Fett film would be set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back or between Empire and Return of the Jedi
