A lawsuit over movie rights to James O'Barr's The Crow alleges that The Weinstein Company has sole rights to develop a movie, and seeks to stop Relativity from selling rights to anyone else, according to Hollywood Reporter. Relativity released a statement excoriating the suit, saying, “This is yet another typical litigation stunt from the Weinsteins, who have a long history of threatening lawsuits with the sole purpose of intimidation.”   

 

Relativity has been developing the film for some time and recently appeared to have the lead cast (see “Bradley Cooper in Talks for ‘The Crow’”) en route to a Fall production start.
