Wizards of the Coast has revealed that the new mechanic to be introduced in the second season block (which ties into the second season of the TV show) of the Kaijudo TCG will be multi-colored cards.  This was one of the most popular mechanics from Duel Masters, the version of the game that has been marketed in Japan.  To use multicolored cards, the player has to have all of their civilizations unlocked in his mana zone.  A multicolored card put into a mana zone is tapped.
The block will have four sets, running from early 2013 to early 2014.  The three 2013 sets, code-named Breakfast, Supper, and Dessert, will function like the three sets of a movie trilogy: the first set introducing the main characters, the second set getting them into trouble, and the third set resolving the story.  The early 2014 set, code-named Midnight Snack, bridges the gap between seasons two and three.
The first DVD of the Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters TV show, Creatures Unleashed, with the first five episodes, released Tuesday.
