There was a flood of Marvel movie news on Monday, which started with the second X-Men:  Days of Future Past trailer and a new poster (see "New 'X-Men: DoFP' Trailer, Poster"), and continued with an image of Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy, set pics of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch from Avengers 2, more casting for Ant-Man, and left over from Friday, a writer for the Wolverine sequel.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn released a first image of Karen Gillan as Nebula (on Instagram, via Bleeding Cool), calling her "our interplanetary Clint Eastwood."  This is not the first film image (see, for example, "First Look at Glenn Close as Rael in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'"), but definitely the coolest.  The film opens August 1st.

Set pics from Avengers: Age of Ultron hit the web hard on Monday; the most significant were the first looks at Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, who we’d previously seen as concept art (see "'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Concept Art for Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver").  These via Hollywood Reporter.

Corey Stoll, who got a lot of exposure as Peter Russo in the first season of House of Cards, and who will appear in Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain (see "FX Orders 'The Strain'"), has been cast in an undisclosed role in Ant-Man, according to Variety.  Patrick Wilson was the last person to join the cast of the film (see "Geek Movie Round-Up"), which opens July 17, 2015.

And Fox is beginning work on its sequel to Wolverine, for which it recently snagged March 3, 2017 (see "Fox Claims Dates for 'FF' and 'Wolverine' Sequels").  It has hired David James Kelly (who’s also working on Mind MGMT, see "'Mind MGMT' Optioned") to write a script, according to Deadline.
