Konami Digital Entertainment will host its Yu-Gi-Oh! North American World Championship Qualifiers event in Detroit on July 11 - 13 at the Cobo Center, Hall D in Detroit, MI. 
 
The two day, invitation-only competition brings together the winners from North American Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events in the U.S. and Canada (see "Philly YCS").  The champion for the Main Event will win the right to represent North America in the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship at Palacongressi di Rimini in Rimini, Italy on August 9 - 10.
 
Duelists will compete on the First Round on Saturday and those that advance will continue until the last round on Sunday.  The champion and those that place in the Top 6, will receive prizes that include travel and accommodations of the World Championship in Italy.
 
The event will also feature the Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier for younger players (born 2001 or later).  The top two Dragon Duelists will also receive prizes that include travel and accommodations of the Dragon Duel World Championship in Italy.
 
The event also hosted a Last Chance Qualifier for Duelists for both events today.  The Top 32 Duelists of the Main Event will receive a Super Rare Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series card.
 
Public events will include 2015 Regional Qualifiers, 3 vs. 3 Team Dueling, Attack of the Giant Card!!, Win-A-Mats, a Realm of Light Structure Deck Tournament, and Sealed Pack Tournaments for Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants, featuring exclusive Starfoil prize cards only available at premier events.  Voice actors Dan Green and Marc Thompson from the various Yu-Gi-Oh! TV shows will be on hand during the weekend for autographs.
