Fantagraphics Books will release an omnibus edition of Vaughn Bode’s Cheech Wizard comics, The Big Book of Me, in April 2015.
The newly designed, oversized book collects Bode’s comics of the lascivious con man, which after first appearing in Bode’s college newspaper in 1956, was published in numerous underground comix, National Lampoon, and several book collections by Fantagraphics which are out of print.
"Cheech Wizard is a decades-spanning countercultural icon whose image and attitude bridged two very distinct and influential subcultures, and it's high time the little imp was unleashed once more to see what new havoc he'll wreak," Fantagraphics editor Mike Baehr said. "Fans have been clamoring for new Bode books for years and I'm excited to be working with Mark Bode to bring his father's essential, seminal underground work back into print."
The 8.875" by 11" paperback release will have an MSRP of $19.99.
