Days of Wonder has announced that it will release two new Small World Mini-Expansions, A Spider’s Web (MSRP $15) and Royal Bonus (MSRP $12) at Essen, and then to retailers in November. At the same time DoW will also make available two Small World Micro-Expansions, Leaders of the Small World, and Necromancer Island that were previously available as promos, but are long out of print.
The new A Spider’s Web Expansion provides players of the game with three new races, Ice Witches, Skags, and Slingmen, along with 3 new special power badges, Copycat, Lava, and Soul-Touch. The expansion comes with a plastic tray in which to store all the badges and tokens from A Spider’s Web plus room for all the additional Small World Expansions.
Also coming this fall is the Royal Bonus Expansion, which was previously available only to those who backed the Small World 2 digital version of the game on Kickstarter. The Royal Bonus Expansion includes three new Race banners and tokens (Fauns, Igors, and Shrubmen) and three new special power badges (Fireball, Aquatic, and Behemoth).
Days of Wonder is also reprinting two Micro-Expansions for Small World, which were previously available as promos, Necromancer Island and Leaders of the Small World, and making them available through retailers at a cost of $5 each starting in November.
