Stan Lee’s POW Entertainment and Graphic India have been meeting with leading Indian directors, screenwriters, and producers to adapt Lee’s Indian superhero comic book character Chakra the Invincible as a live-action movie for the big screen. While no final deals have been struck, Lee is expecting that the film will go into pre-production sometime in 2015.
For the purposes of the movie, the character of Chakra, which Lee created in 2011 (see "Stan Lee Creates Indian Superhero"), will no longer be teenager, but he will battle against his archenemy Boss Yama.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chakra the Invincible was adapted into an animated series last year, and its success has helped stir interest in a live-action adult version of the character.
