New York Comic Con News: At the New York Comic Con IDW Publishing announced that it would begin publishing Stan Lee and John Romita’s Spider-Man newspaper comic strip with the first volume due out in early 2015 under IDW’s Library of American Comics imprint. The Spider-Man newspaper comic debuted in 1977 with Stan Lee and John Romita, Sr. handling the creative chores, which they later passed on to Larry Lieber (Stan’s brother), Paul Ryan, Alex Saviuk, and legendary inker Joe Sinnott.
The LOAC’s Spider-Man volumes are designed by Dean Mullaney and edited by Bruce Canwell.
