New York Comic Con News: Scott Snyder and Jock’s horror comic Wytches, which debuted along with the NYCC this week, has been optioned by New Regency for Brad Pitt’s Plan B to produce, the same combination behind 12 Years a Slave. Published by Image Comics (see "Image Announces Major 2014 Project"), Wytches is the story of a father who moves his family to a neighboring town after a nasty bullying incident, only to find that there is an evil presence lurking the woods surrounding their new town.
Deadline, which broke the news that Wytches had been optioned at issue #1, notes that Regency and Plan B have an expanding slate of “supernatural and genre” projects that includes an adaptation of Charles Burn’s Black Hole graphic novel, which has been in development since 2008 (see "Gaiman Off of 'Black Hole'"), but now has a new lease on life with Garth Davis attached to direct.
