Japanime Games has announced an end to its exclusive distribution arrangement with Quebec-based Filosofia Distribution for the English editions of its games in Canada. Japanime announced the exclusive in July (see "Japanime Games Goes Exclusive"). Filosofia will, however, continue to hold the exclusive distribution rights to the French edition of Krosmaster: Arena and its related products in Canada.
Japanime President Eric Price cited an upswing in the popularity of the game in English, as well as the company’s "Premier Store Program" and growth in organized play (see "Japanime Goes to MAP") as reasons for the move.
Japanime recently announced several upcoming releases for Krosmaster: Arena (see "'Krosmaster Arena' Winter Releases").
