Magnetic Press will release Love: The Tiger, the first in the Love series of wordless graphic novels, in January.

The Love series is written by Frederic Brremaud (Alika, Daffodil), with art by Federico Bertolucci (W.i.t.c.h., Disney Fairies), and was originally released by French publisher Ankama.  Each volume focuses on the wildlife of a different natural environment and is told without narration or dialogue.  The Tiger focuses on the day in a life of a Bengal tiger and other tropical forest inhabitants, and it won the Special Jury Award at the 2011 Lucca Comics Festival, in Lucca, Italy.  Love: The Fox will follow in Fall 2015, with the third volume, Love: The Lion, planned for Winter 2015.

Love: The Tiger is an 80-page hardcover, with an MSRP of $17.99.

"The Love series works on so many levels," said Mike Kennedy, Publisher of Magnetic Press.  "Fans and students of sequential storytelling will be drawn in by the seamless flow and cinematography of each panel, while animation fans and students of character design will be wowed by the expressiveness given to each animal.  And pretty much anybody with a heart will be taken by the beautiful art and dramatic events within."

Magnetic Press also recently announced Daomu  (see "Magnetic Rescues 'Daomu'"), though due to production delays, that release is now planned for February.
