New York Comic Con announced on Thursday that it had halted the sale of single day tickets for Saturday from its Website, although some Saturday tix are still available from New York area retailers selling passes from their stores.  The early halt to Saturday ticket sales is being done as part of a comprehensive plan (see 'New York Comic Con Announces 2007 Dates') to avoid the overcrowding that caused access to the exhibit hall to be shut down on Saturday last year (see 'Huge Crowds at New York Comic Con').

Weekend passes and single day tickets for Friday and Sunday are still being sold.

Retailers can register free for the show, which includes special trade-only hours on Friday, until February 12th.
