WizKids has acquired the license to produce a collectible miniature game based on Halo from Bungie Studios and Microsoft.  The new game will be called Halo ActionClix, and is scheduled to launch in mid-September.  The rules will overlap roughly 80% with those from HeroClix and HorrorClix, and will include new mechanics for weapon swaps, figure respawning, and vehicle-based combat.  Additional properties may be added to the ActionClix game in the future.

The first product release will include 80 figures from the Halo universe, including preview content from Halo 3, to be sold in randomized Booster Packs.  Vehicles and a Starter Game will be sold in a diorama display format.  Pre-release figures will be sold at San Diego Comic-Con (a surprise vehicle pack is promised) and GenCon.

Halo has proven to be a strong crossover brand, with sales of Marvel's Halo Graphic Novel extremely strong in both the bookstore (see 'Fruits Basket Tops Holiday Bookstore Sales') and comic store channels.
