Fantasy Flight Games will be releasing the English language version of the Tannhauser board game, which was recently published in France by Take On You Ltd.  Set in an alternate-history version of 1949 where the Great War never ended, Tannhauser features small squads of troops of the 'Army of the Union' in their attempts to track down and stop the Reich's 'Obscura Korps,' who use a mixture of technology and occult magic to further the cause of the Fatherland.  Tannhauser blends alternate history, science fiction, and magic to create a very different sort of board game environment.

Designed by Didier Poli and William Grosselin, Tannhauser utilizes the revolutionary 'Pathfinding System'--a game mechanic that uses colored circles on the game board to aid players in determining both movement and line-of-sight, making combat resolution quick and simple.  The deluxe Tannhauser game box contains a double-sided game board featuring two different maps, character cards and counters, 70 illustrated tokens, and 10 fully-painted 35mm miniatures representing both sides.
