Wizards of the Coast is preparing to release Alliance and Empire, a new 60-piece expansion for the Star Wars Miniatures Game, at the 'Star Wars IV Celebration' in Los Angeles in May.  Alliance and Empire, which features new and classic Star Wars characters drawn from the films, video games, and novels, will also be released to retailers and distributors in May.  New characters in Alliance and Empire include Biggs Darklighter, Ephant Mon, and Wicket.

The Alliance and Empire Expansion will only be available in booster packs with a suggested retail price of $14.99.  The Booster Packs include seven figures, one rare or very rare, two uncommon, and four common figures. WotC estimates that over 80 million Star Wars fans worldwide can stage their own Star Wars battles with the Star Wars CMG game.
