The first Naruto anime feature, Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow (known as Naruto the Movie: Snow Princess' Book of Ninja Arts) will debut in the U.S. on June 6th in 160 theaters nationwide.  Originally announced as opening in a handful of markets (see 'Naruto Movie'), the Naruto movie will play in every major U.S. market with tickets available through National Cinemedia's Fathom Website.  Subscribers to Shonen Jump will receive a special invitation to purchase tickets starting on April 27th, while tickets for the general public will go on sale on April 30th.  A DVD edition of the movie is expected to be released in the fall.

Released in Japan in August of 2004 the first Naruto movie topped the box office charts and has inspired three subsequent features so far.  The Japanese DVD of the first Naruto movie also included the 'Kanoha Annual Sports Festival,' a ten minute comedic short in which Naruto repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempts to go to a crowded bathroom (where nearly every key character in the series is waiting in line) while participating in a sports festival.
