David Goyer has been signed to direct Magneto, the X-Men prequel feature (see 'X-Men's Last Stand?') from Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox, according to Variety.  The story will focus on the early life of Magneto with his parents in Aushwitz, and hunting down Nazi war criminals after the war. 

Goyer wrote all three Blade films and a number of other comic-based films back to Crow:  City of Angels, and directed Blade:  Trinity.
