Wizards of the Coast and IDW are launching their new Transformers products in early June, roughly a month before the film's opening on July 4th.  WotC is coming out with its Transformers 3-D Battle Card Game on June 2nd, (see 'WotC's 'Transformers 3-D Battle Card Game''), and IDW is releasing a movie adaptation graphic novel in early June.

In the Transformers 3-D Battle Card Game, figures can change forms as often as needed during game play depending on the situation and strategies employed.  WotC plans to offer one additional new release for the game in late 2007.

In a rather unusual move for a movie of this scale, The Transformers: The Movie Adaptation (104 pages, $17.99) will be available several weeks in advance of the movie itself.  In the story, adapted by Kris Oprisko with art by Transformers artist Alex Milne, the Autobots and the Decepticons bring their epic war to Earth where a teenage boy may end up playing a pivotal role in the intergalactic feud.
