Robert Rodriguez has signed to direct the De Laurentiis remake of Barbarella (see 'Book, Movie Deal to Revive Barbarella'), according to the Hollywood trades.  The film is headed for a 2008 release from Universal. 

This may slow down the oft-delayed Sin City 2 and the recently announced Jetsons live action feature (see 'Rodriguez to Helm Live Action Jetsons').
