Imagi Animation Studios has announced that it has signed Robert Mark Kamen to write its Gatchaman animated feature, which will be directed by Kevin Munroe (see 'TMNT Helmer Working on Gatchaman Feature').  Kamen is an experienced hand at writing Hollywood features, with The Fifth Element, the Karate Kid movies, Lethal Weapon 3, and over a dozen more in his oeuvre. 

The CGI film is scheduled to be completed in late 2008.

A Gatchaman live action feature is also in the works, from the Nikkatsu Corporation (see '1970s Anime Go Live Action').
