USA Today has provided the first look at McFarlane Toys' lineup of Halo 3 Action Figures due out in spring of 2008.  Halo 3, the latest iteration of Microsoft's ultimate 'first-person shooter' game, will be released on September 25th.  To give some idea of the popularity of the game--Halo 2 sold over 7 million copies worldwide.

McFarlane Toys' Halo 3 Action Figures will retail at $10 and the collection includes five different skus, a 5' Master Chief (the super warrior protagonist of the game will come with 18 points of articulation and an assault rifle), a Brute Chieftain (top Covenant bad guy stands 6' tall and comes with a gravity hammer), Cortana (Master Chief's sidekick is 4.5' tall and comes with an LED light in its base), a 5' Jackal Sniper (this skilled Covenant soldier comes with his trademark beam rifle), and a 3.5' Grunt 2-Pack (representatives of the lowest tier of Covenant forces).

McFarlane is also producing three die-cast metal and plastic vehicles: the jeep-like UNSC Warthog and two Covenant vehicles, the single-seat anti-gravity Ghost and the single-wheeled Brute Chopper, which debuts in Halo3.  The three vehicles should retail for about $8 and each vehicle is three-inches long.
